Abstract: This study nay carried out to enhance the acquisition of entrepreneurship skills among the youths through effective counselling in Nigeria. Two research questions were answered. The descriptive survey design was used and the target population for this study was made up of 67 respondents comprising 11 counsellors and 56 entrepreneurs 33 item-questionnaires were used as instruments for data collection, which were analyzed according to the research questions. The data collected from the respondents were analyzed using mean. The findings of the study include among others; the youths must be equipped with such as technical, management and personal entrepreneurial skills; access to finance and the use of counselling arc the challenges affecting the needed entrepreneurship skill and ways of enhancing the needed skills. It was recommended that Government should formulate policies and programmes to encourage entrepreneurs to sail smoothly in their investment, such encouragement should include an interest-free loan.
