Abstract: ABSTRACT The trend of Performance of students in Mathematics is of immense concern to University authority. In view of this the entrance examination organized in 3fathematics by JAMB was assessed in all local Government areas in Niger State between 2005-2009,’ Analysis of variance (ANOP'A) was used to analyze the data and it was observed that there was no significant difference in Students performance in Mathematics in all the local government areas of the three Zones in Niger State. No difference was observed in spite of all provisions in Some Local government areas; a significant difference was observed in the yearly examination only in Zone A of the State. It was discovered that 2005 University matriculation examination (UME) was significantly different from 2009 UME only in Zone A of the State.
