Abstract: | This research examined the use of open-source software in federal university libraries in Northern Nigeria. The objective of the study was to ascertain if the libraries were using open source software for their automation process, what type of open source software is used, what library housekeeping functions it supported and what constituted the challenges associated with using the software. |
