dc.description.abstract | This review is focused on the production of biodiesel from non-edible sources using calcium oxide derived from renewable sources. These sources are generally considered as waste products which are reported to be sustainable and cheap feedstock for biodiesel production. They are sourced from renewable materials and are cheap to obtain. The use of non-edible oils in biodiesel production will greatly reduce the problem of food shortage. Results reported showed that over 80% yield of fatty acid alkyl esters could be achieved using some of these non-edible oils. | en_US |
