In order to achieve sustainability in any design, there is a need to create an enabling environment for all kinds of people, including the physically challenged. These physically challenged; mobility impaired or wheelchair users in this case are rarely considered during the design and construction of institutional buildings. This has led to the promulgation of laws by the government of Nigeria on the design of accessible schools for all. Even at that, a lot of institutional buildings still do not cater for these wheelchair users. This paper seeks to assess the level of accessibility for wheelchair users in faculty buildings in the Federal University of Technology in Minna which has two campuses; the main campus in Gidan Kwano and the Bosso campus respectively. The data will be gathered using a descriptive survey method and analyzed using SPSS software. The result of the analysis will be reveal the extent of provision for wheelchair users and suggestions and recommendations will be made to ensure that spaces are designed to cater for the physically challenged.en_US
