Abstract: The volumes of water a Prism shaped aquaria of 4 mm glass thickness can hold determined. Aquaria of volumes 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 litres were designed and constructed in triplicates, cured and tested for leakages, monitored under room condition (Mean Temperature: 23.9 oC (22 – 27.5 oC)) for 49 days after introduction of water. Prism-shaped aquaria of 4 mm glass thickness failed to hold water of volumes:40, 50 and 60 Litres, but held 20 and 30 Litres. The Failure patterns were at variance (2–15) at different durations (0–0.017 hours). The 4 mm thickness glass is recommended for 30 Litres and lesser volumes of water for Prism-shaped aquarium so as to prevent economic loss, waste of time for clean-up and mopping stress, loss of interest in aquarium keeping and injury from broken glass. Fish survival, the wellbeing and healthiness of aquarium fish viewers’ and fanciers’ increases, preventing brain fatigue and related health issues. Also, brain recovery and restoration from stress caused by thinking and depression; and good mood increases, vices reduction, places beautified with conducive environment, job and wealth created for the people and foreign exchange as a result of durable aquarium, a product of this research.
