dc.description.abstract | This paper sought to analyse the City’s land use changes between 1999 and 2019 using a spatio temporal analysis and change detection method. The research also simu late land-use changes in Minna for 2029, the locational attributes of various infrastructure were also appraised using the Nearest Neighbour analysis through a collection of infrastruc ture coordinates in the City of Minna. An assessment of the roles of city infrastructures in urban growth. Spatio-temporal image processing and analysis, mosaicing, and artificial neural networks project the extent of urban growth between 1999 and 2019 while simulating the growth for ten years to 2029. Conclusively, the City of Minna depicts an urban environment without proper planning and standards while providing the opportunity for a liveable city. The city is increasing and providing critical infrastructure, but spatial distribution is lopsided, and this must be adequately and urgently addressed for sustainability and liveability. | en_US |
