Social media and the Library

Abstract

This paper discusses the concept of social media, types of social media, how social media can be used in the library, the uses of social media in the library and the types of tools used in a social media. The paper also talked about the voiced for the library, it also gave the 2011 library trends, it gave the challenges faced using the social media both locally and internationally and the researches made from other libraries. Recommendations and conclusions were also given at the end.
