Abstract: Therearemanydifferentkindsofmicroorganismsinthesoil,andmanyofthemarebiofilmsbecausetheycan makesupracellularcompounds.Surface-associatedmicroorganismsinabiofilmareencasedinahydratedextracellularpolymericsubstancethataidsinadherenceandsurvival.Numerousdifferentkindsofmicroorganisms callthesoilhome.Stronginteractionswithandamongspeciesaremadepossiblebybiofilms;this,inturn,might increasetheeffectivenesswithwhichorganiccompoundsandpoisonsinsoilaredegraded.Thisencouragedusto takeacloselookatsoilbiofilmecosystems,whichwedointhispaper.Inthisresearch,wewilllookathowsoil biofilmsariseandhowthataffectsthecompositionofmicrobialcommunitiesandtheirfunctioninthesoil.Recentyearshaveseenanuptickininterestinquestionsaboutbiofilmstructureandthesocialinteractionsofvariousbacteria.Manyconceptselucidatingtheunderlyingmathematicsofbiofilmgrowtharealsopresented.Since biofilmsaresowidespread,thisbreakthroughinsoilbiofilminquirymighthelpscientistsunderstandsoilmicrobiomesbetter.Mathematicalmodelsfurtherextrapolatetherelationshipsbetweenmicrobialcommunitiesand givesamorepreciseinformationastowhatishappeninginabiofilm.Biofilmscanhelpplantscopewithavarietyofenvironmentalchallenges.Soilquality,plantnourishment,plantprotection,bioremediation,andclimate changeareallinfluencedbytheinterplayofbiofilmcommunities.Thus,biofilmsplayanimportantroleinthe developmentofenvironmentallyfriendlyandsustainableagricultur
