Abstract: Advancing the equal rights of persons with disabilities, as guaranteed by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). Some of the areas include but not limited to: Policy planning and implementation Employment viz-a-viz Government, Academia, Civil society, Media, Private sectors It may interest us to know that the Sustainable Development Goals are seventeen (17) in number. They are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, peace and justice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each Goal and target.
