Abstract: The study surveyed the availability and utilization of print and non-print instructional materials in technical and vocational schools in Niger State. To elicit the responses for the study, five research questions were asked. The population of the study was made up of 166 technical teachers randomly selected from five technical and five vocational schools in Niger State. Information was collected for the study through the administration of questionnaire on the respondents. A test-retest method was used to determine the reliability of the instrument, the result was appropriately scored. The data obtained were analysed using mean, standard deviation and percentages. The findings showed that there was inadequate provision of instructional materials in technical and vocational schools in Niger State and that the teachers lacked adequate training and competence in using these materials. The implications of the findings were discussed and recommendations were made for the improvement of technical and vocation education.
