Abstract: In this paper we present a general purpose equal probability sampling and unequal probability sampling with replacement plans using fixed sample size. It compares their resulting standard errors using data of Nafiu (2007) in a survey to estimate the population of diabetic patients in Niger State, Nigeria. It was observed that the estimators under unequal probability with replacement are always better than those ones under equal probability with replacement.
