Abstract: This study was carried out to identify the assessment of selection and acquisition processes of book and other materials in College of Education Zuba Library. The research method used is survey method. The population of the study is staffs of the College of Education Zuba Library which the number twenty-eight (28) and there is no sampling since the population is manageable. Questionnaire was used to elicit data from twenty-eight (28) respondents. The data was analyzed using table, frequency and simple percentages. The following findings emerged from analysis of the data: lecturers select majority of the materials; also that the book selection and acquisition processes in College of Education Zuba Library faces a lot of problems; and non-book materials are not often acquired. Consequent on these findings, the following recommendations were made: that the various stakeholders should be involved in book selection and acquisition and non-book materials should be given topic priority.
