Abstract: This paper examines the physical distribution of finished product of a manufacturing industry so as to have an optimal allocation of shipment of products between the warehouse/depots and the Dealer/Distributors. The paper harnesses the technological know-how to sustain transportation and logistics services in the country and to enhance a good decision-making process for the transport industry in Nigeria. In the study, transportation model will be used in solving the transportation algorithm using Tora 2.0 version software. The study will compare the three transportation models to find out the best alternative. The paper will also highlight the policy implication of the results of the study that will enhance sustainable transport system and development in the manufacturing industry.
