The major objective of this study is to determine an optimal way of transporting specified quantities products manufactured at Maizube Farms complex that minimizes the total transportation cost between the factory, the depots and various customer locations. While the analysis of data was done using the TORA software, the solution was based on the Vogel’s Approximation Method (VAM). The result of the analysis shows that the minimized transportation cost of a unit (a carton) of the products carton is N712,800.00, compared to the current cost N849,600.00; representing a 16.10% savings (or N136,800.00). The Management of Maizube Farms Limited is advised to adopt the routes used in this study in order to reduce the overhead (distribution) cost and boost its profit.en_US
