While it is true that the constitution of Nigeria makes provision for the right to freedom of expression and press, the law nevertheless places restriction on what can be made available to the public at any time. There are guidelines to follow while publishing if the publisher will not be guilty of publishing things that are not acceptable under the law. Proper agreement must be reached between the authors and the publishers. Libelious; sedetive ; slanderous, defamative , indecent and obscene publications must be avoided. Moreover, copies of publications must be deposited at the National Library of Nigeria as legal deposit. Copy right laws must be adhered to strictly in any publications that would be acceptable legally.en_US
