Abstract: This paper presents a computer-aided design (CAD) of a three-phase core type transformer. The software design platform used is Java. A Java program utilizes a graphical user interface (GUI) to display variations in the electrical parameters of the transformer under design in response to variations in the input voltage alteration. The GUI is design in such a way as to allow users to enter the transformer ratings. In response, all the necessary parameters required for the design of the transformer are calculated and returned automatically. This would allow the designer to easily predict the output of the transformer at varying input parameters.
